Invisalign or Nuvola Removable Aligners in Rugby
Your treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you change every two weeks for the next set of aligners.
Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position prescribed by your dentist.
What’s more, a virtual 3D treatment plan shows the series of movements your teeth will go through over the course of the treatment. This allows you to see upfront what your teeth are expected to look like at the end of the treatment. From the results of the treatment plan, your custom-made, clear aligners are produced especially for you.

How does it work?
Invisalign aligners move teeth with an appropriate placement of controlled movement on the teeth. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign not only controls the amount of movement per aligner, but also the timing of the movement. So at each stage, only certain teeth are allowed to move, as determined by the orthodontic treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in an efficient force delivery system that moves teeth into the desired prescribed position.
Achieving straight teeth can range from between 6 months to up to 2 years depending on the position of you teeth.

Today, orthodontic treatment is a viable option for almost any adult. It is well recognised that when left untreated, many orthodontic problems may become worse. Here are a few reasons that may have you turning to orthodontic care:
- A “bad bite” or malocclusion. Teeth that do not fit well often wear down more quickly—another reason to make sure that your teeth are in good alignment and well maintained in your adult years.
- Bad bites can also result in abnormal wearing of tooth surfaces, difficulty chewing and damage to supporting bone and gum tissue.
- Crowded teeth: Crowded teeth are harder to clean and, given time, may contribute to tooth decay or gum disease.
There are multiple benefits to having Orthodontic treatment.
Health benefits to the gums as swollen gums and redness, can arise due to teeth that are crowded or too widely spaced. It has been shown that when teeth are properly aligned, it helps the gums fit tighter around the teeth¹, which can lead to better gum health and easier for you to keep clean. Overcrowded teeth occur when there is simply a lack of room within your jaw for all of your teeth to fit normally. When left untreated, overly crowded teeth can cause an increased chance of gum disease as your teeth are harder to clean and can prevent the normal function of teeth.
Maintain comfort and tooth structure as misaligned teeth can result in abnormal stresses occurring. This can cause painful trauma to the supporting bone and jaw joints. These issues can also cause abnormal wear on your teeth, lead to continued problems in the future. Invisible braces can improve the alignment of your teeth and reduce the any wear on your teeth.
Finally there are the cosmetic aspects of an improved well aligned smile. It can have an unconscious favourable outcome in many situations.
